Photography: Cork streets 16th March

As I'm at work on St. Patricks day thought I'd better go out today while the weather is ok to take some street portraits. I'm still pretty nervous when shooting folks in town (a lot easier to ask when abroad/ on hol I find) so these are more candid with them just looking right at the last second.

These were taken with the now AF fine tuned 85mm and I am happy with the results now with the lens!

New Lens: Samyang 8mm Fisheye MF

I bought this a few days ago. A cheap (279 euros roughly) and cheerful fisheye which works well. On cameras below the d90 it won't recognise the lens so you need to run in manual mode and ideally get a light meter (otherwise a bit of trial and error is required).

I still need to get used to composing with such a wide angle/distorted view (usually I stick with my 50mm now or use the 70-300mm for wildlife work) but overall I'm very happy with it!
